Home-cooked breakfasts, hearty lunches, and the best slice of pie in Washington County. A Belpre tradition for over 45 years.
"There isn't a better breakfast in all of Washington County. I've been coming here every Saturday for thirty years."
— Regular Customer, Belpre OH
Schultz's Restaurant opened its doors on Third Street in 1978, when Harold and Doris Schultz decided that Belpre deserved a proper diner — the kind where the coffee is always fresh, the eggs are always made to order, and the waitress knows how you take your toast.
Three generations later, the Schultz family still runs every shift. The recipes haven't changed. The booths haven't changed. And the feeling — the warm, unhurried feeling of a real neighborhood diner — certainly hasn't changed.
We use local eggs, make our bread fresh every morning, and bake every pie from scratch. No shortcuts. No freezer bags. Just honest food, made the way it's supposed to be made.
We're an early-morning restaurant — our cooks arrive before sunrise so your breakfast is ready when you are. Last seating 30 minutes before close.
Sunday mornings are our busiest. We recommend arriving by 8:30am to avoid a wait — though most regulars will tell you the wait is worth it.
Easy to find on Third Street, just one block from the Ohio River waterfront. Parking available in the lot behind the restaurant.
